Account Deletion & Data Deletion Policy

You may request deletion of your Hven account at any time through the in-app account settings or by contacting us at [email protected].

Once your request is submitted, we will begin the account deletion process.

In some cases, we may need to verify your identity before completing the deletion request.

Upon account deletion, we delete or irreversibly anonymize your Personal Data, including:

• Account information such as name, email address, phone number, and login credentials.

• Profile information, photos, and media associated with your account.

• Messages and communications stored within the Services, subject to technical limitations and legal requirements.

• Location data associated with your account.

• Payment-related identifiers retained by Hven (note that payment processors may retain records as required by law).

After your account is deleted, Hven may retain and use anonymized and aggregated data that can no longer be used to identify you.

This data is stripped of personal identifiers and is used solely for legitimate business purposes, such as:

• Improving matchmaking algorithms and recommendations.

• Understanding usage trends and feature performance.

• Enhancing safety, moderation, and service quality.

Anonymized data is not Personal Data under applicable privacy laws and cannot be used to re-identify you.

In limited circumstances, Hven may retain certain data for a longer period where required or permitted by law, including:

• Compliance with legal obligations, court orders, or regulatory requirements.

• Fraud prevention, safety, and abuse investigations.

• Enforcement of our Terms & Conditions or resolution of disputes.

Such data is retained only for as long as necessary and is protected by appropriate safeguards.

Account deletion is typically completed within a reasonable period following your request.

Backup copies may persist for a limited time in secure systems before being permanently deleted according to our retention schedules.

Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to access the Services using that account.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, deletion of, or information about your Personal Data.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.
